The Yi Coimbatore Chapter has carried out a number of initiatives under its platforms and focus areas. As we all know sports being one important tool to control stress and to build more energy into the system, the Young Indians Coimbatore Chapter organised the first YiPL last year in the month of July to stress on the importance of sports, exercise and its effect on health. The first edition of YiPL was a huge success by having participation from more than 100 entrepreneurs and professionals from the Yi platform. In continuation to the success of previous edition, the chapter is planning to organize the 2nd edition of YiPL on Sunday, 15 July 2012. This year we have increased the number of teams from 8 to 10 thus involving more members in the sporting activity. The 10 teams are namely Coimbatore Eagles, Fab Squad, Kovai Force, Kongu Kiladis, Coimbatore Bulls, Mannadiar Tuskers, Roaring Lions, Mahendra Mavericks, Yi Rhinos & Kirtilal's Kings who will be putting their full efforts in to winning the trophy. To add more flavour, energy and enthusiasm in to the game, Mr T R Vijay Anand, Yi Member has directed a promotional video titled "YiPL Thagam" for YiPL version II by incorporating the entrepreneurs of the city. The video is directed in a manner aiming to create a new trend & meaning to YiPL itself having the entrepreneurs of the city playing a different role of a sportsman. The video was launched on 07 July 2012 at CII Office by Mr Shankar Vanavarayar, Imm. Past National Chairman, Young Indians & Executive Director, Sakthi Auto Motors Ltd and the first copy of the same was received by Ms Anusha R, CEO, Park Group of Institutions.
