Students are volunteering to help others Many local students have started volunteering for the Nepal Red Cross after the earthquake. On Sunday, a week after the disaster a group of volunteers was building toilets in the Gundu village. Almost all the houses in the village were destroyed in the earthquake and eight people died. Volunteers built rapid toilets to the village and also distributed water purifying tablets. Safe drinking water and sanitation are extremely important after a disaster so that diseases don't add to he misery of people who have lost their loved ones and homes. The operation was organized by the Nepal Red Cross Bhaktapur district chapter.
