How to convert an MKV file to MP4 without re-encoding

http://bit.do/dwQpS Mkv2x secret discount page.
This is a quick video that show you how to convert an MKV file into an MP4. To do this I'm using a tool called Kirara, you can download this here: http://www.digital-digest.com/software/Kirara_Encoder.html (click where it says 'Kirara125.exe' then on the next page that loads: scroll down to where it reads 'Download Count' (the last entry in the green table) and below that in the small print is a direct download), look for the text that reads "You can download this file without our download manager here". The original developer's web site doesn't appear to be around anymore so make sure to check all your downloads with a virus/malware checker. --- The method I'm using changes the container, or wrapper, of the video file; so using Kirara I extract the Audio and Video streams from the MKV and place them in an MP4 container. No encoding is taking place so this is a very quick process. Whichever device you are using to playback the file will still need to support the codecs for the video and audio within the file. When you drag a file into Kirara the audio and video streams are displayed at the bottom of the window, in my case H264 (for video) and AAC (for audio). - - - Please leave me comments with any feedback, questions, or if you would like to see a particular tutorial or tip. If you found this video useful please click the thumbs up like icon, thank you.
