HOW TO MEASURE YOUR MATTRESS. Hello, I'm Brenda Kelly and welcome to Top Drawer Shleep. Today we are going to start with how to measure the bed. Everyone should know what size their bed is, so when they come in to buy bed linen here in Top Drawer Shleep, we get everything exactly right, and we get everything fitting properly. Let's start ! Get out your measuring tape. Start at the very top of the bed and measure the long side of the bed, that will give you the length of your bed. Then, with your measuring tape, go across the bed, and that will give you the actual size of your bed. So, if you are measuring your bed at home and it's single, it'll be three foot. If it's a double, it'll be four foot six. If it's a King bed, it'll be five foot across. And if it's a Super King bed, it'll be six foot. So now you know how to measure your bed across and down. But what about the mattress depth? That's very important too. The reason it's important is because when you buy fitted sheets, you need to know the depth of the mattress to ensure you get the correct fit. The sheets have different depths for different mattresses. So measure the depth of your mattress by measuring the side profile. Write it down!
