Hey Everyone! For Valentine's day, why not show your hair & scalp some love? In this video I mix my oils for a spa-like pre-shampoo treatment & scalp massage. Click "show more" for more info! More info on this hot oil treatment on my blog here: http://bit.ly/14ytczj I like to do this hot oil treatment & scalp massage as a pre-shampoo (or "pre-poo") treatment since my scalp tends produce alot of oil/sebum on its own (which leads to buildup if I dont cleanse every now and then). But you can also follow this with a cowash or cleansing conditioner rinse :) MY HOT OIL MIX :) 2.5 oz Almond Oil 1 oz. Avocado Oil 1 oz. Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) 1/4 oz Vitamin E Oil (this is an approximate measure - I usually eyeball this...lol) 5 - 6 drops Basil Essential Oil 5 -6 drops Rosemary Essential Oil Feel free to modify the proportions of the oils to suit your own hair. For example, if you hair loves extra virgin olive oil, use that as your base carrier oil instead :) I get all my carrier oils (Almond oil, avocado oil, EVOO) from the grocery store. I get all my essential oils (Basil & Rosemary) from Whole Foods.
