HMV 101 Gramophone plays Bing Crosby

This is a clip of my 1931 HMV-101 gramophone. This model was introduced in 1925 as a successor to the 100 but this is the later variant with side-wind motor and an automatic brake. It has a 10" turntable, brass-backed No.4 sound box, pivoted front corner needle bin and is fitted with the later No.59 single spring motor. It is also one of the de-luxe color versions finished in green Rexine® with a leather handle and has nickel plated fittings. This example is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. The recording is a 10" shellac, 78rpm recording of 'The Last Mile Home' sung by Bing Crosby and the Ken Lane Singers with Victor Young and his orchestra. This is on the Brunswick record label, number 04260 (L.5007) and dates from 1949. Please visit http://www.thegramophonecollector.com for more details of my collection.
