After successfully establishing an FTP Server that properly works, i'll demonstrate how to upload your web site contents to the GoDaddy Remote Server. BEFORE YOU START: *Make sure you have one master folder for your whole site located in your local files. *Make sure your homepage is named "index.html" *Make sure you have a realiable internet connection 1. Open "Dreamweaver CS6 CC". 2. Open Page you want to upload to your FTP Server. 3. Now go to "www.GoDaddy.com" and log into your account. 4. In your account, expand "Web Hosting" which is located under "Products" 5. Find the website you want your content uploaded to and click "Launch" (a green button) 6. This will open up your Control Panel. 7. Take note of your FTP User which is located under account snapshot to the right. 8. Go down the page to "Settings" and then click "FTP Users". Make sure you know your password. (dreamweaver is going to ask for your FTP Username and Password so write these down for later) 9. Go back to Dreamweaver and under the "Files Panel" click the folder drop down, and then click "Manage Sites" 10. Find the site your working with, click it to highlight, and then click "edit selected site" (pencil symbol) 11. Then click the "Servers tab" 12. Click "Add New Server" (plus symbol) 13. Pick any Server Name you want... Make sure "Connect using" has "FTP" selected for its option. Under "FTP Address" type your full website URL.... Then type in your Username and password that you previously wrote down. Click "TEST". Make sure it's successful. Also make sure your website URL is typed in correctly to "Web URL"... Under the "more options" tab, make sure everything is unchecked expect "Use Passive FTP" and "Use FTP performance optimization" 14. Click "Save" and "Save" again. 15. Click "Done" 16. Now you're connected to your FTP server and whenever you make an update or with to change something all you have todo is "Put Files to Remote Server" this will upload your files and replace the ones that have changed. 17. In about 15 mins, open up your browser and check out your live content!
