Despite difficult weather conditions, search and retrieval efforts continued on Wednesday for the victims of the AirAsia plane crash. An evacuation post has been set up at Lanud Iskandar in Pangkalan Bun to help with the recovery process. Seven bodies have been recovered from the sea. The airliner's disappearance halfway through a two-hour flight between Surabaya and Singapore on Sunday triggered an international search for the aircraft involving dozens of planes, ships and helicopters. The first sign of the jet turned up on Tuesday about 10 miles (16 kilometres) from its last known coordinates. 162 people were onboard AirAsia Flight 8501. It is still unclear what brought the plane down.
