Top 3 Craft Beer Pubs in Wellington New Zealand

After about 8 months in Wellington I become very friendly with some of the local brew houses and have decided to share with you some top spots to check out on your visit. Of course there were many more than three that I would also recommend but these were the ones that I thought would be the most easily accessible for backpackers coming through the area! 1. Hashigo Zake- personally I just appreciated the easy laid back non pretentious yet very knowledgeable staff on hand. Also the international variety on tap was more than you could shake a stick at. 2. The Malthouse- Right on Courtenay place dowtown (party central), this gem is serious when it comes to beer and if you want to get to know local beer you will most likely find it on tap here. 3. Rouge and Vagabond. The less extreme of the two this one is a bit of everything local and non local however what makes rouge stick out is the yummy pizza, beer and pizza I mean come on. And if that is not enough the outside area in a park with bean bags, WHUUAT! Nice and relaxing with a super groovy neon colored interior. This is my kind of place!
