Taxi Cab Driver Brutally Beaten Hawkesworth Attacked Island Security Dash Cam Surf City

September 9th, 2012 ~ An Onslow County Surf City Cab driver got brutally attacked & beaten. It happened in Surf City, a town in Pender and Onslow counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The time stamp on the video says it happened around 1 a.m. Sunday. A friend of the driver has identified the victim as Charles Hawkesworth, and says he suffered five broken bones in the attack. Warrants have been obtained against 30-year-old Gunnery Sgt. John Adam Kinosh. The victim suffered multiple fractures to his face and received about 15 stitches. Hawkesworth filed arrest warrants for Kinosh. Kinosh will be charged with two counts of assault inflicting serious injury and one count of communicating threat. The Marine checked himself into a psychiatric hospital and are waiting until he's released to serve the warrants. Kinosh is assigned to Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command at Stone Bay. The population of Surf City was 2,057 at the 2008 census. It is located on Topsail Island.
