It was finally time for a 3rd stab at a contact lens agitator. Rattling was a big problem. It turned out there was an optimum, high shaking frequency which wouldn't rattle. The slow motion cam revealed a sympathetic rattle still bounced it half way back across the shaking distance before the reverse coil was activated. It needed some kind of damping.
