The Don Mueang International Airport will handle 140 flights daily, including some Thai Airways domestic flights and all routes for domestic budget carriers Nok Air and One-Two-Go, according to airport officials. Disgruntled Canadian traveller, David Dreisinger, arrived from Canada at Suvarnabhumi airport after a longhaul flight, then had to make a 45-minute taxi ride to Don Mueang for his domestic flights. "It was an extra bit of travel I didn't need after 20 hours on the airplane", said Dreisinger. Bangkok's new 3.8 (b) billion dollars Suvarnabhumi Airport was to be Southeast Asia's leading air transportation hub. But it has been plagued by a host of widely publicised problems, including cracks in taxiways, a shortage of toilets, dozens of design flaws and a long list of corruption allegations. Pinit Saraithong, a director at the Don Mueang International airport, claimed the real reason for the reopening of the old airport terminal was the unexpected overcrowding of passengers brought about by low-budget airline travel. , a German who is visiting Chiang Mai said: Keyword- aircraft- aviation - airport You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/youtube/fde74e73c793cade17e12d845eb740ed Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork
