In this episode, Jeff explains how a water catchment system can be used to safely capture rain water from a roof. Keeping water enclosed within a dark cistern will keep harmful bacteria and other microorganisms from contaminating the water. In this case, light is not good for the water. However, UV sunlight can be used to kill these same microorganisms if put in a clear 2L bottle for 4 hours.
